Rapsky Recognized for Business Leadership
May 20, 2025

Congratulations to Tamra Rapsky, who was named the 2025 YWCA Westman Women of Distinction Award recipient for Business Leadership, Entrepreneurship! Tamra has served as Manager of Finance Operations at Heritage Co-op since 2017 and will be retiring later this summer.

She’s built a career defined by openness to opportunity, leadership through change, and a strong commitment to community. Reflecting on her path, Rapsky often points to a mindset she shared with students during her time teaching at Assiniboine Community College:

“You can’t know what your career will look like from start to finish. If you don’t open yourself up to opportunities, you can miss a lot.”

It’s an approach that’s clearly reflected in her career—one shaped by taking calculated risks, stepping into new roles, and continuously learning along the way.

When asked about the highlight of her professional journey, Tamra doesn’t hesitate: mentoring others. Supporting colleagues, students, and future leaders has been at the heart of her work.

Rapsky also contributes her time and experience to several community organizations, including Westman Immigrant Services, the Assiniboine College Foundation, Valley Life Housing Project, and the Minnedosa Lake Enhancement Committee. She believes that “the backbone of a small community is the people—and one should be involved to support.”

Her personal mantra is a quote from Lucille Ball: “I’d rather regret the things I have done than the things I haven’t.” It’s a philosophy that has guided a career of impact.

Congratulations again, Tamra—and thank you for everything you’ve brought to Co-op and your community.
