Heritage Co-op helps raise more than $16,000 for Red Cross
Wildfires have forced thousands of people from their homes in Manitoba, many of them arriving in Brandon and surrounding communities, unsure of what comes next.
Along with the support of our Members and Federated Co-operative Limited, Heritage Co-op donated over $16,000 to the Canadian Red Cross Wildfire Relief efforts in Manitoba. Funds were collected through a till campaign in early June and included $6,500 matching funds from Heritage Co-op and FCL. With a further match by the federal government, the impact is doubled. That means every dollar goes further, faster, to meet urgent needs like food, shelter, and emotional support.
Thank you to everyone who donated to this worthy cause.
To everyone arriving to Brandon: We hope you feel welcomed, supported, and not alone. And to our members, thank you for making this possible. Together, we are co-operative strong. ❤️
