ActionsBrandon's Park Community Centre receives a joint Community Spaces and Community Development Fund Donation totaling $100,000!
FCL administers the Community Spaces on behalf of more than 160 local Co-ops operating in 600 communities. Co-op Community Spaces is designed to help protect, beautify and improve spaces across Western Canada. Through the program, Co-op has provided $12.5 million to 175 projects since 2015 in three categories: recreation, environmental conservation and urban agriculture. FCL has donated $85,000 to the Park Community Centre for a Co-op Community Kitchen project!
Heritage Co-op has donated $15,000 to the Park Community Centre through the Community Development Fund to improve and renovate their sustainability infrastructure and community garden spaces. Heritage Co-op’s Community Development Fund is available for building or renovation of spaces that support the betterment of the community. This Community Development Fund has been supporting projects in our Communities/trading area for over a decade and we look forward to continuing to support these great initiatives.
